Thomas Willson - Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Mr. Willson oversees all Corporate functions. Mr. Willson founded Akibia in 1988 under the original name Polaris Service, following more than 10 years in management consulting. Under his leadership, Akibia has grown steadily and profitably to become a leading IT Services company with a world-class reputation. Before starting Akibia, he was founder and President of the JDS Group, a strategic consultancy specializing in emerging energy technologies internationally. As Vice-President of Resource Planning Associates (RPA), an international management consulting firm, he opened and directed its London office and provided strategic management consulting to energy and natural resource companies throughout the United States and Europe. Prior to RPA, Mr. Willson worked at The Division of Naval Reactors of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission. Mr. Willson received a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, where he was a member of Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society, and an MBA with Great Distinction from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Thomas Tucker - President & CFO
Mr. Tucker joined Akibia in 1990, and is the President as well as the Corporate CFO. As President, Mr. Tucker oversees all aspects of the company, and is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and future vision of Akibia, ensuring the company's portfolio of IT services corresponds with customer demands and emerging market trends. As CFO, he manages the financial aspects for Akibia, Inc. A senior manager in the high-tech industry for more than 20 years, he has both financial and operational management experience in fast-growing environments. Prior to joining Akibia, Mr. Tucker was CFO at Automated Images, CAD software supplier, where he was involved in raising both debt and equity capital for this start-up venture. As vice president of finance for VIA Systems, Mr. Tucker oversaw both financial and operational activity for this CAD/CAE manufacturer. Mr. Tucker received a BBA degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Karen Wall - Sr. VP, Corporate Infrastructure Services
In her role as Senior Vice President of Corporate Infrastructure Services, Ms. Wall is responsible for critical business programs including Information Technology, Human Resources, Facilities, Legal and Business Processes. Ms. Wall has a focus on areas including employee performance, global facilities management, contracts and legal matters as well as delivering technology solutions that spur business efficiency, risk management and cost containment for the company. As a member of Akibia’s executive team she also provides valuable input and a customer–perspective regarding Akibia’s sales strategy, market positioning of new services and optimal alignment of resources. As an IT leader she represents Akibia’s core customer, providing valuable insight to the types of services customers need and the challenges they face.
Ms. Wall, who joined Akibia in 1999, previously served as Vice President of Human Resources, where she was responsible for driving leading–edge HR initiatives for the company’s Infrastructure Management Services and Corporate Services employees. Ms. Wall has 25 years of experience which she lends to inspire the Company’s culture by promoting core values that focus on people, customers, innovation, quality, integrity, fun, and profitability. Prior to joining Akibia, Ms. Wall held management positions in the fields of finance and health care, most recently Regional Director of Human Resources for Home Health Corporation of America. Ms. Wall holds a BA in Psychology from Colby College.
Scott Fiore - Vice President of Global Operations
As Vice President of Global Operations, Mr. Fiore heads a team focused on delivering mission-critical data center support services for complex, multivendor server, storage, network and security environments. In this capacity he manages Akibia’s global technical support, logistics, field engineering and IT education teams. Mr. Fiore also heads up the company’s consulting and professional services organization which includes Akibia’s compliance, risk management and infrastructure consulting practices as well as the company’s systems integration team for network and security solutions. Since joining Akibia in 2000, Mr. Fiore has held multiple positions within the company’s operations and finance groups. With deep knowledge of customers’ business challenges, Mr. Fiore is focused on providing superior customer service and support and meeting clients’ needs. Most recently he managed Akibia’s European Operations Group. Prior to Akibia Mr. Fiore worked in finance at Reebok. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Accounting from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire.
Philip Harris - Vice President of Global Sales
Phil Harris joined Akibia in 2000 and has since held progressively responsible positions within the Sales organization. Currently, Mr. Harris is responsible for driving revenue growth while overseeing Akibia’s global sales team. Under his direction, Akibia’s sales team is committed to a consultative approach that provides solutions to meet customers’ emerging and complex data center and security needs. With his leadership, Akibia’s customer base and revenue continue to grow year-over-year. Mr. Harris brings real-world knowledge of customer challenges with over 20 years of sales and customer support experience having previously worked for Peoplesoft, Lawson Software, McCormack & Dodge Corporation and Dun & Bradstreet Software. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Assumption College in Massachusetts.
Robert Klotz - Vice President of Technology
As vice president of Technology at Akibia, Mr. Klotz is responsible for delivering service offerings that meet the evolving requirements of today's enterprise organizations. As Akibia's technical evangelist, Mr. Klotz articulates Akibia's strategic vision to customers, partners, prospects and the industry as a whole. He partners with Akibia's customers, serving as a high-level resource for advice and best practices while also ensuring the company is delivering services that align with customer priorities. Mr. Klotz has more than 15 years experience creating and delivering leading-edge technology solutions. Prior to Akibia, Mr. Klotz was general manager at Eirteic Consulting where he was instrumental in launching a new enterprise management focused business partnering with companies such as IBM. Prior to Eirteic he was the founder and vice president of Technical Services at SilverBack Technologies, which was acquired by Dell. In 2001 he was named one of Computer World Magazine's "Premier 100 IT Leaders."
